Checkpoint, 25 Comics

Well, 25 comics in, and I've definitely been given a new perspective into my development as a webcomic artist.
Some observations:
-I do have enough time to make 5 irev comics and 1 JAB per week. I do not always have enough time to make them as good as I'd like. The last few JAB's have all come out really well, because I spend more than six hours on each one, but the irev's tend to suffer on days when I can only spare an hour and a half.
-Writing for a four-panel daily can be a lot more intense than writing for a weekly infinite length comic like JAB, since with JAB we can keep going until we hit a joke we think is funny enough to end on.
-Since Art draws and poses all the characters in JAB, this was my first real chance to mess with the faces and poses a lot. I feel like I'm starting to pick up on the subtlety of it, and noticing how other artists handle eyebrows and mouths especially. I'm taking a figure drawing class next semester, but I don't plan any radical art upgrades for irev or JAB. I do hope to work with more anatomically correct characters in future projects though.
-Although I'm great at making sure that there's a comic up every morning, I'm not great about keeping my buffer decent. For example, while I'm writing this, I could be making tomorrow's comic. I'm not. This Thanksgiving week I'll have some free time though and hopefully that'll give me a chance to get a decent stock of comics built up.

Also, you may notice that this latest comic features C.P. Stanford, a friend of mine I've been bouncing ideas off of for about as long as I've been drawing JAB. I figured that since I tend to monopolize about 20 minutes of his time daily about my comic ideas, he should get some credit too.

Hmm, what else?
I plan to start advertising for the comic soon, now that the archive is growing nearly respectable. If you're reading this in the future, because of said plans, welcome to November 12th, 2007. It's wonderful here.
Do you have cars that fly yet?
